Recipe: Grilled Pizza

Pizza On The Grill: Tastes like summer!

If you are like me and you don’t have a commercial grade brick oven in your backyard for cooking pizza, then let me tell you how to create the next best version using an appliance you’re more likely to have on hand: a grill!

I love this grilled pizza recipe because it’s so easy to make and can easily be customized to accommodate families that might not all agree on pizza topping combos.

This recipe is my all time favorite flavor combo when I want to make pizza at home. This can be made year round but it really meets its highest flavor potential in the summer when peaches and tomatoes are living their best life.

I hope you enjoy it too!

Ingredients

  • Naan Bread (any size!)

  • Pesto

  • Fresh Peaches

  • Heirloom Tomatoes

  • Grilled Chicken

  • Arugula

  • Fresh Basil

  • Feta Cheese

  • Hot Honey (or regular honey) - for drizzlin’!

  • Red Pepper Flakes

*Similar to my chicken salad recipe - there is no right or wrong amount of ingredients to add! I don’t measure any ingredients when making this pizza! I just add as much or as little of each ingredient as I want :)

  1. Grill the chicken and fresh peaches then set aside.

  2. Drizzle a little olive oil on the naan bread and grill until its toasted to your liking.

  3. Spread pesto on the Naan bread.

  4. Add layers of sliced tomatoes, grilled chicken, and grilled peaches.

  5. Garnish with the good stuff: arugula, fresh basil, feta cheese, hot honey, and red pepper flakes.

Ideas for Serving

Lead Singer: This pizza has so many things going on, it could easily be the main event (entree) with no backup singers (side dishes) needed!

If you desire a side: Chips and Dip, Chips and Salsa, Cold Veggies and Dill Dip. Or instead of adding grilled chicken, arugula, and feta to the pizza - turn those toppings into a salad on the side with some olive oil and vinegar.

Don’t Dilly Dally: This delicious pizza is best enjoyed as soon as that last garnish is sprinkled on top - not that you would want to wait very long to eat it anyway!

If you decide to make this delicious recipe, please let me know. I’d love to hear all about it!

Happy Grillin’!
